Shophouses along Malay and Malabar Streets were synonymous with merchants in the 1920s and its early residents were the Peranakans, whose heritage dates back to as early as the 17th century. Their art and tapestry greatly influenced the dcor and feel of the hotels 328 guestrooms and suites, and 75 units of Shophouses, which overlook Singapores first fully air-conditioned street and covered five-foot walkways.

Taxi fare from Airport approximately SGD20.00. Limousine services available at SGD81.50 to/from airport from 7am to 11pm, or SGD122.25 from 11pm to 7am. Accessible to all public transportation.
