From the Airport:
Changi Int'l airport is about 20km east of the city centre. A 1-way airport transfer booked thru hotel costs S$55 from 7am – 10pm (S$65 from 10pm - 7am); or about half that if you take a taxi from the stand outside Arrivals (make sure the driver takes the Expressway & does not take you on a tour of the island). Or you can jump into an airport shuttle - a six-seater shared maxicab departing every 15-30 mins between 7am and 11pm - which will take you to any hotel in the centre for about S$8pp. There are also trains and buses but these are not convenient for Chinatown.
Approximate time to Changi Airport by taxi 25 minutes
Approximate time to Orchard Road (shopping belt) by taxi 15 minutes
Approximate time to Central Business District by taxi 5 minutes
